About CBS

Centre for Biblical Studies (CBS) was established on 1st of January 1999 in Prague as a base for advanced studies of historical, philological, philosophical and theological issues related to the Bible and its influence in the culture, particularly of Europe. Its aim is to support and coordinate Bible research in the Czech Republic, whether it is pursued by experts at the universities or in the institutes of the Academy of Sciencies or in other institutions.
